Hi guys. Just wanted to introduce my self. Loved bikes since I was a kid, I keep telling my self that I would buy a bike every year, but never happens. This summer I was seriously looking into getting my M1/M2 and buying a bike, but then I ran some quotes for insurance

So now im thinking of buying a track bike.. trailer to the track a few times in summer, the cost should be far less than insurance for a year and I still get my fix

I dont know if that sounds crazy, just my thought process at this moment...

Hey new guy. Insurance quotes are high, yes. But you get to ride whenever you want, and if you choose the right bike it's certainly affordable.Track days are fun, but take a long look at whole cost of learning, gearing up, and all the little logistics that go into pursuing that path - that stuff ain't cheap, especially when you get addicted to it (which you will!)

Hey thanks for the welcome! I created a thread in the racing/track section, it sure isnt cheap. At this point im still assessing all the costs and all my options..

Although insurance is high, don't let that stop you from getting your M1/M2 licence.

As a quick question regarding high insurance quotes, how old are you, what bike were you getting quotes for, and where were you getting quotes from? Depending on this, we might be able to steer you towards some choices that could get that quote down a lot.
