Hey guys! I'm a new rider...I have a Ninja 250r...I ride perfectly fine...only question I have is, if I'm cruising at about 70-80 km on 3rd gear and I decide to slow down to about 50-60 km, with the clutch pulled in, can I release clutch and then continue accelerating or do I have to slowly release clutch and add gas? I understand that concept, but sometimes I feel that my rear wheel spins around when I do that...maybe I'm adding too much gas? I'm not very sure.

You can either release the clutch slowly to bring the engine revs back up, or better try to use the throttle to match the engine to the speed of the bike as you let out the clutch. Matching revs to gear selection takes practice but it's really satisfying when you figure it out and get it right. It puts less shock onto your rear tire and you're less likely to get the squirrely feeling as the rear tire breaks loose.

Welcome... "praktix" makes perfect.

Personally, i hate not being in gear on a bike. I like to stay in gear when i'm braking and blip the throttle to rev match on down shifts, using engine breaking correctly will leave you able to react in a situation where you need to. If you have to think about which gear you need to be in because the clutch is in and you're breaking, good luck dodging that bus. my 2cents

Welcome!!
