Nah. Twisting your torso (like in a shoulder check) might make the lights look like a turn signal to traffic behind you. Brake and turn signals need to be solidly mounted. The helmets with the lights on them are the same. Just my opinion.

That is exactly what my Doc told me when I asked about keeping my blood type on a bracelet. In a situation, the emergency responders (at least in NA) will run their own checks first.
