12,8xx km. Well looked after. I don't know what to tell her re: a price. I see them listed for $5-6.5K. What would be reasonable?
first thing that came to mind for me tooDoes her husband know about this?
Enough about me, let's talk about the bike. What would YOU sell it for ?Let @TK4 swap his brake parts with that one before it leaves!
TK4 is such a nice dude he sings the songs of praises for RE, even though the rear brake on his hasn't worked in like a year.
Also, he sent a picture of himself in a speedo once.
Am I joking? Am I telling the truth? Was the speedo red? I'll never tell!
BTW, rear brake is working fine again - for now. I ordered a new master cylinder, when that comes in and gets installed I can take the old one apart to see what went wrong and go hunting for the correct rebuild kit. Brembo/Bybre likes to keep that kind of stuff a secret.TK4 is such a nice dude he sings the songs of praises for RE, even though the rear brake on his hasn't worked in like a year.
Black rims didn't come out until 2022.
Have the wheels been changed up perhaps ?Video on my phone. It was purchased in 2020.

I have a box of seals that I got from my buddy the caliper rebuilder. I got seals that fit Tokico, Nissan, AP, the ol' Yamaha 2 pots, the TZ two pots, Lockheed two pots, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm master seals... I can fix ALMOST anything I am going to find... total investment $200
How much Brembo stuff can you buy for $200? Brembo seals have a different profile than EVERYONE else.
I'm working on a Guzzi T3, that HAD linked Brembo brakes... so I had to replace the masters... it HAD a 13mm front... and it's been nothing but problems from the word go. It HAS to look period... so I am limited as to what I can do... I had a 16mm front in stock and I wanted a period rear, that looks like this.
I ain't paying $539 USD plus shipping for a rebuild.
A bit of horse trading got me a core (I traded two Lockheed calipers) that needed rebuilding.
Of COURSE there is no kits.
A lot of dickin' around and I rebuilt it... but I don't have the lever/fulcrum.
Well don't ya' know the fulcrum is particular to Moto Guzzi... and NLA.
FML... AGAIN, STILL, SOME MORE.
... so presently I am designing a Rube Goldberg machine for a right rear set on a T3. (I already have a Rube Goldberg machine as a shifter on the other side. Ever seen a shifter for a T3? The linkage goes into the back of the trans, not the side like every other bike, so it has to go around 90 degrees)
Doing this knowing I have a couple period Lockheed rear masters... which in reality is a superior part and looks a lot COOLER... BUT... you know... gotta have Brembo.
I hate Brembo
