2011 Kawasaki ninja zx6r, 1500 km, carbon fiber slip on yoshi exhaust. $9299 at a dealer in Midland. It is a demo bike and i am tempted to buy but thought will get a second opinion.

What do you guys think??

I've seen that price with 0km before but with out any add-ons... I wouldn't do it.

I would also never buy a demo bike,(or a rental) but that's just my opinion.. Others may disagree.

I agree...
I wouldn't want a demo bike...never know how it's been ridden

If the price is good (1500 or more less than you can get it new) go for it I have bought demo bikes before and saved some cash. They come with full warranty and don't get abused anymore than if I were riding them.

How hard would you have to ride to do damage to an engine inside of 1500km? Real ****ing hard! These engines aren't made out of plastic so I wouldn't get too worked up about it. It's not like the bike has had 20 owners and 200,000 km without any service record. Like Scuba Steve said, it will have the full warranty for you to lean on if you need to but dollars to donuts you probably won't need to.

Negotiate a deal you are happy with and buy the bike if you want it. Put the demo thing out of your head and enjoy.

Even if it was ridden hard, at least it'll follow the "ride it like you stole it" break in procedure :p

That's what I am thinking ... for 1500km I bet that's my track mileage in a year and I bet I beat on my R6 harder then anything that is street ridden

Offer them $8800 and be prepared to walk away if they say no. If they say no leave them your phone number and say if you change you mind feel free to call me. Be very humble and polite about it.

what topendz said.if it is factory recreation, not alot of bikes being sold.very small population.i bet they make that deal.

Demo? I didn't think dealers let ppl have test rides.

Then again, i've never been bling enough to buy right off the floor either.

Go get it and don't waste any time if you like the bike!;-)
Gpbike has the same bike - a 2010 very clean in A1 cond for only i mean only $7700!!

SON have demo bikes, then sell them as new.
As well as selling Motorcycle show display bikes as new.
