How is the key damaged? Those are normally pretty durable.

You can open those locks reasonably easily with a pen (soft plastic body, pull out the end cap insert and orbit while rotating).

Get stuck in barrie and I'd have your back. Hopefully someone closer can help you.

Unfortunately don't have a spare key.

I really don't know how to do it. The key has chipped off on one end and it's not going in fully

Post a pic of the damaged key. Did something break off, or the cylinder collapsed?

Is the piece jammed in the lock? A key with a missing piece should fit (but may not unlock). Try to gently sweep the keyway with something like a small knife or toothpick to see if you can dislodge the thing blocking the key.

Post a pic of the lock now. Are you sure the piece isn't broken off in there?

And how did it break - did you drop it, or it broke while you were turning the lock? If it broke while you were turning the lock, it has to be in there.

It looks like ypu may have all the positions still on the key (although two are not great). Why doesn't the key fit in the cylinder? It shpuld fit.wiggle with gentle tension and it probably unlocks.

Start looking where you dropped it.

This is how those locks work. Hopefully it will give you an idea how to unlock it if you still have the broken piece.

Does Canadian Tire rent power tools? A cordless angle grinder should take care of that..and there's one a few blocks north on Yonge.

Home Depot would be the closest option.
Not sure of they have a cordless angle grinder for rent. A corder one they will.

I have a cordless but I'm not downtown .
