Hi,
I'm currently 25 riding at 600RR, insured by State Farm. I've used the decision tree and quoted around, but I'm not finding it helpful to get where I'm going.
Right now the rates I'm being quoted for anything under 600cc are incredibly reasonable (ie. well below $1K).
This year I was thinking of selling my sportbike and getting a bike more suited to commuting downtown and some light touring (looking at bikes like the dl650, Ktm 990 adv, etc).
The problem with SF is that if you go 1 cc above 600, the premium practical doubles (even if the hp and torque go in half)!
They are still cheaper than anyone else I've tried (Intact, Cooperators, TD, and others).
Any thoughts on how I can make the step down to 650 without getting slapped in the face with a near 2K premium?
Thanks in advance.
