Hey Guys

I'm taking my CBR F4 on the longest trip I've been on since I started riding (I've been riding for 5 years) from Toronto to London. I know it's only a 2 hour ride but I wanted to ask if there are any precautions I need to take before and during my trip or any other pointers the pros on the site could give me.

Thanks in advance :)

Are you going to London or Ottawa? And seriously, that's not a long ride by any measure. I did 300 km today for lunch and back.

Fill your tank with gas. Bring water with you. Don't speed. Have fun.

Don't die of boredom.
Seriously there are some more interesting routes than 401 tho they will take longer.

I'm listening!
How much longer and which route ?

1. Ear plugs.
2. Check tire pressure and oil level before leaving, and in London (and might as well lube chain too).
3. If you use a tinted shield, take a clear in case get caught on highway at night (dark w/o city lights).
4. I usually take rain gear along if staying over night (regardless of forecast).
5. OPP are especially active just west of Woodstock (401).
6. Listen to 680 before leaving -- and pick route based on traffic (401, QEW/427/401, QEW/401).

I do this trip every friday and sunday. Going to london there are two onroute rest stops if you need to stretch or just take a break from the boring ride. OPP are almost always setup with radar 2-3km past the woodstock onroute. Other then that just try to stay awake lol

First you start heading east, through Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. After you reached NS, take a boat across the Atlantic, London is on the eastern side of England.

Bring clothes, a map, phone, money and tools for your bike. Takes lots of pictures.

Ride safe.
