Hey If anyone has a good software they can recommand for recovering a deleted partition let me know please. The drive right now is sitting unformated. it just says unallocated. I havent written anything to it or formatted it for windows explorer to view it.

Has it been converted with a specific program now you can only use that program to access files? I had a WSBF file loader that my laptops F drive wouldn't recognize unless I opened with that specific program. If you know what the extensions of the files its been partitioned to, find another program that is able to recognize it and it should be able to read so you can remove them. If you partition a USB stick/external HDD it will remove all the information regardless of just converting it so its the only option I can see working. If the issue isn't that you partitioned it to something else, the problem could be your computer does not recognize the device because of Port 1.0 or 2.0 which is an issue I had.

no what i did was the partitions where "dynamic" and then I wanted to merge them back into one large hard drive so i right clicked in hard drive management on the drive and said change to simple. and then bang all of a sudden the drive is unallocated.

Sounds like your Allocation table is gone. Data recovery is VERY expensive in this case.

Reminds me of when I used to work for Symantec supporting Norton Utilities.

If you mean you tried to add a second partition to a device that already had a different partition without formatting it for multiple partitions then it sounds dicey whether you can recover from that as when I did it, it basically just replaced all the previous data and converting it back the original data got removed.

So did any of those "Tools" provide a means to recover any of this data?

I suspect you will have little to no success with them. Specifically if you are looking to fully restore the partition.
