Need help looking for accessories!

Hello,

Apologies if this is the wrong section.

Recently purchased a 2020 Kawasaki Z650 and have been scouring online for parts/accessories and cannot find anything apart from www.kawasaki.ca

I usually browse Fortnine and Amazon, and it looks like Fortnine has accessories for the 2019 model. Anyone know if it'b ok to purchase items from the '19 model and slap onto the '20? The tank looks the same...not sure about the windshield mount.

Really just looking for some tank/knee pads and a windshield.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Not sure on the model changes.

Ebay has a vehicle/model filter that helps, you can always PM the seller to confirm.

Tstindustries has tank pads and crash protection for many main stream models.

Alternatively call Snow City (kawi powersports in scarberia) they can help you with the model changes and sourcing OEM parts.

Fortnine and Twisted Throttle (Canadian site) have search by vehicle as well...also, you can find stuff on Revzilla then call a local dealer to see if they have it (or GP Bikes or even Royal Distributing) or can get it...just get the manufacturer part number off the website...

Not a Z650 expert by any means but a quick google search it looks like a few small changes for 2020 from the 2019. One of which was a new instrument cluster and LED headlight. So I wouldn’t be ordering a windshield for a older model and expect it to work.

Things like exhaust, tail tidy, sliders etc should be good to use from a older model.

Fortnine is pretty frustrating to use these days. I’ve had good experiences with their customer service department so I consider them a good company. They need to update their website for me to buy much from them moving forward though.

Guys I have a 2017 Kawasaki 650cc. I dropped my bike while it was parked, it has deep scratches and abrasions on the engine, fairings and broke the footpeg. I searched Kijiji and even Amazon and found nothing. Even eBay is scarce, the only fairings for my bike were in Thailand and China and the expected date of arrival was September 16th-28th. I'm not waiting that long. The footpeg is attached to a "rear set piece" shaped like a triangle, the passenger's footpeg is also attached to that triangle. That piece is also hard to find, only from China and 8 to 10 weeks.

If I go to Kawasaki dealer (if there's any in the GTA), would they have these parts in stock, or I have to wait 6 weeks for them too? Is the "rear set piece" of my bike identical to the one on a Ninja 650 and any other modern Kawi bike? Maybe I'm wasting my time searching for my exact model and its under my nose by searching Ninja parts?

Is there a full-fledge Kawi dealership in the GTA?

***EDIT**

Kawasaki is PATHETIC! Just went to their .ca website. Under my bike they only sell bike covers with their logos and the seat. Is this what I can expect from Kawasaki for the next few years? So I'm forced to buy from chinese websites when my bike breaks down or I take a wipe out?

Truly brain dead.

No mainstream manufacturer, car or bike, list specific vehicle parts on their own site. The websites are meant to sell shiny new rides and accessories. That's it. If you need genuine parts for your motorcycle, go to the dealer.

Now, say sorry to Kawasaki.

I searched Toronto on kawasakis website, 10 dealers showed up. And not a huge amount of accessories, but definitely more than a cover and a seat.

Take your pick, and call them to see if they have what you need.

Yeah maybe I judged them too soon without even calling them. I wonder if they have bike parts readily available and not having to wait 8 weeks for them to arrive from Japan, because if that's the case then I rather buy from Amazon overseas sellers for 1/4th the price.
