Hey guys,

Need your help, I guranatee many people have already answered this question on the forum but i can't seem to find it. I'm doing my M1 exit and M2 exit in the next two weeks and cant seem to find out what I must have on me (Such as light deflectors on the bike) at the time of the testing and what more or less I will be tested on.

This sort of thing is better posted in the beginner forum. I have no idea about what you mean about the light deflectors. That said there are a few things worth reading:

For your M2 Exit this should prove helpful, please bookmark/favorite it for use later:

The checklist used by the MTO examiner for the M2 exit test can be found here:

If you carefully study these resources you should be just fine.

Ride safe!

How is it that you're doing both of these tests in the next two weeks? After taking your M1 exit and getting your M2 there's a waiting period before you can take your M2 exit and test for your M, and it's a lot longer than 'two weeks'.

If you have an expired license, don't have to redo waiting period.

Yeah he's right, I had my M2 and it expired. So as long as it hasnt been more than a year after my M2 has expired, then im able to do the M1exit and M2exit back to back with no waiting period.

sundancekid thanks for your help.

All lights including signals must be functional and your horn has to work. Tires must be in good condition too. Beyond that I don't think they really check anything else.

In addition, if you held your license in a foreign country, there is no waiting period upon completion of the tests.

Not quite correct.. If you come from overseas, you need to show proof of recent motorcycle riding etc.. insurance/ownership.
BUT possibly if you're from certain countries.. ie. UK, you maybe exempt. Wasn't a big deal for me.

There may be a commonwealth clause that lets you slip in. A Brazilian rider who emigrated to Canada and has been riding for over twenty years, and did the Chilean mountain ride down to TDF in Argentina had to do his M1, M2 and M to get his Ontario license. He did not have to wait the time limit, and could have completed all the testing in one day had a miracle occurred.
