The Yamaha SMax 155 needs an alteration to its seat. It's fairly straight forward to do and a common fix.
If you know anyone - ideally west end that does such - appreciated.

Someone mentioned marine upholsterer as an option. TIA

Nowhere near west end, actually in Welland, triple K upholstery. Tim does a fantastic job.

Thanks that sounds excellent - needs move back to red line.

No to hijack the thread but any recommendation on custom seat work.
Something along the lines of a Corbin or Russel Day Long.
Would be interested to explore some options to modify existing seat without order from the US for $1000.

The Georgetown guy does it.
custom Motorcycle seat uphostery

It can be DIY, especially reshaping and building up the foam to suit your posterior. If you build it up a lot you might want an upholsterer for a new fitted cover.

Here are a few posts from a couple of seats that I have built: technique and technique and pics

I know but I'm not handy and have no tools. Happy to pay someone - you volunteering ?? :giggle:
The foam is fine - I'm not touring on it just need the extra space but would like it to look decent too.

Haha, nope. I've considered it as a potential semi-retirement hobby, but after you've built one or two the amount of time and money for a custom seat from the regular guys starts to make sense. Fitting the foam to your butt isn't hard, but you need proper sewing skills and machinery to make the cover look nice unless you cheat like I did with the stretchy airmesh cover.

I have used Potzy at Georgetown and Unique at Brampton. Both were expensive, Unique slightly less so. Both are equally capable with stitch work design. I preferred Unique's work on my motorcycle seat.

Potzy's web link is in the post above.
Unique is here:

Hmmm this seems okay and acheivable - he just cut the hump out and left the seat cover.
