So we live in Toronto and my father got a ticket by OPP for doing 135 in a 100 while going to Michigan and I was just wondering if there is anyone we should contact out in London (that's where the court room address is) to fight it.

You don't need a lawyer...just go to the court asap and tell them you dispute the ticket. You'll go before a prosecutor. Say you want your day in court (don't admit guilt) and he/she will most likely offer to reduce the fine. Don't say yes or no, just shrug your shoulders and ask what's next. They'll take you into a Justice of the Peace office where the JP and the Prosecutor will review everything. In my case the JP found an error in the way the OPP filed the ticket and threw out the case. They do not want to tie up the courts. Even if they find the charges were filed properly, they'll most likely reduce the fine.
yeah i know fighting it and all...i've been to court about 7 times but the thing is the court's all the way in london and i'm in toronto and i don't have the time to go so I was hoping I could get a contact down there
