thanks everyone..

and yes just did the EX-UP valve delete so i will be looking into the ECU flash soon.. anyone one i can be recommended to ....?
 
Nice bike and 240, horrible D*****vest.

Jaime is your man, not sure what handle he is under these days but google ecuflashking or something along those lines.

Most people can only flash 07 and up. Yours looks like 06 or under because of only 4 piston front brakes (07/08 had 6 piston).

yes my bike is an 05... in this case are you saying i will have to go with a power commander? as opposed to the ecu flash?

Makes the most sense. Paying ecunleashed $500 for a flash isn't really worth it when your bike isn't nearly as restricted as the 07+ bikes to start with. Talk to Tony from Bluestreak for the best price on a power commander, 519 475 9055. That + dyno tune = awesome.

hmm ECU flash for $500 .. i have ben hearing prices in the $80-$120 range.....

That price is for a flash-tune flash from a private flash-tune user/equipment owner. They can only do 07+ R1 and 06+ R6 though. For other models or years you'd have to go with ecunleashed, $400-$500: http://ecunleashed.com/ecu-tuning-item/2004-06-yamaha-r1/

There is/was a guy on R1 forum called "yamaharacing" that could flash your 05 ECU, but it was with the genuine YEC flash (so you'd lose headlights, signals, speedometer, etc.), can't remember what he charged.

Like I said, on your 05 the power commander can do most of what an ECU flash can do for that year anyway, plus you can run Autotune then as well, and tune it with your own laptop! Part number for PCV for your bike P/N 22-037.

yea was looking to trade for 600 but thinking of selling as i have baby on the way and really dont think im going to have much time next summer to be riding....
