My latest crash.

Had a bad start, then start picking my way through the field, battling a yz450F and a ktm 350 on my 250f, had a rock wedge between my frame and rear brake lever, brakes start to drag and the hotter they get the slower I go until she quits on the face of the biggest jump on the track... Got up so fast after the crash you can hardly tell I went down!

Was that a rocky track or is that much normal?

It's dirt, but there are lots of rocks in it. Some are softball size and they end up rolling around the track from bikes in front of you, so not only do you pick a line, you have to avoid those at times while they are moving, and then there is gravel in the dirt that you get pelted with.
My upper body is covered in tooney sized bruises every monday morning.

Cool vid. Dirt Biker eh? .... I'll stick to nice clean smooth paved roads, less whiplash. lol.

I ride street too, but I'd choose being dirty over asphalt any day. Get to test your limits without losing your license, get a real work out (I dropped 5lbs last week from riding every day).

I have a neck device to prevent any "whiplash" too... Haven't had a sore neck yet this year from any crashes thanks to it, I've tested it out a few times.

Yea I realized later in the video when there was mud stuck on your cam. I have been to indoor races but never seen an outdoor race so I wasn't sure how rocky an outdoor course would be. The AMA at the skydome this year was pretty bad.

The roost (dirt flung from the bike in front) here hurts, the difference in speed from the dirt coming at you combined with your forward speed, means at times it's hitting at 150 km/hr or more. At the track in Madoc, the roost is even worse and breaks noses, splits lips open and has broken a finger or two.
Skydome dirt in 2011 was new dirt and was good, but it got mixed in with some old stuff when they stored it away and it was bad this past year.

The spot I crashed in was the only spot on the track that is 100% sand, so I guess I got lucky there.
