My dad passed away last week.

Id like to reflect on him.

He taught me two skills when I was 5, how to use the tractor to mow the lawn and how to ride a dirt bike.
(funny I mow commercially for a living and it pays for my bikes now).
I was very fortunate, my dad bought us boys many dirt bikes and took us all over Ontario to ride our bikes.
At one point in time my dad had several bikes in the garage.
His top picks were the cbr f4i and vfr for the street and kdx 220 for the dirt.
My dad was a great rider and raced enduro until he was 60 the yr he was diagnosed with cancer. He just got his husaberg fe 450 and loved it...but had to sell. He would never ride again.
He was in remission for 2yrs but in the last yr he frequently got infections.
he passed away Feb 7th, 2 days before his 64th bd.

My dad will forever be remembered fondly as a rider.

I'm very sorry.. you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers

Sorry for your loss, I hope the fond memories give you comfort.

Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear about your dad. He was a great guy who spent time to teach his kids how to work and how to play. Looks like he did a good job.

I lost my dad last year, he bought me my first bike, and my first truck, and didn't yell when i wrecked the bike (much) or the truck (much)

I'm sorry for your loss, I have some idea how you feel

Can't add anything but my condolences. My Dad's passing a few months ago is still too close.Be strong.

My dad bought me my first dirt bike when I was ten, he passed a couple of years ago, it sucks to feel that you are a bit lonely now, you will feel better.
