Curious what your thoughts are on the 1200's (black beak, and red beak) as well as the 1260's

Whats the engine character like? Is it too refined? Racy?

Pros and Cons would be appreciated.

Never ridden the black beak. Owners say they were a bit more raw in terms of engine characteristics. I loved the red beak 2015+ versions. 35,000 trouble-free km's on mine. Engine was excellent, linear and smooth, makes about 142-145rwhp. Tons of character. Excellent suspension, smooth in road mode, firm in sport mode, lowers the bike in urban mode. Suspension very user adjustable (take the time to set your sags and see what modes you like and you'll love it, but if you just hop on without adjusting anything you may get the wrong impression). Typical wear items (brakes, sprockets, etc) all similar price to any other bike. Everything on bike finished very nicely and with detail. I could go on with positives.
Cons - desmo service is around $1000 every 30,000km but unless you're doing huge yearly miles that not a concern. Yearly service reminder poops up on dash and needs dealer to reset, however, you can roll the year back in the dash's date menu and the reminder disappears ;)
Red beak bike is excellent with a passenger. 1260 version has been stretched a bit and is a tad slower to steer but offers a bit more passenger room.
Overall I recommend one.

I’ve owned a 2011, 2016 and now a 2022 V4. The twin has more character than the V4 imho. Bit chuggy at low revs, but smooth as you start moving. Both of my twins had the Termi systems and ecu/map installed, which seemed to make them even more lively. Honestly, I can’t say enough about them, which is why I keep buying them!

Finally paid a visit to ducati toronto, very new dealership, they are in fact owned by pffaf (or is it pfaff?)

Met with the sales manager, nice guy.

He said they will be an exclusively ducati dealership(no other brands). Saying ducati NA wants them to be their 'flagship dealer in the GTA'

Makes me wonder where that leaves peninsula.

Reminds me of the time Corsa lost Piaggio (right before studio got them)

Why must life be so hard

Must be the friggin winter.

Don't get me wrong, the V4 is incredible. It's just so smooth you don't realize how fast you're going, whereas you were quite aware on the twin!
Tuono was pretty much the same way
