MTO / Service Ontario question

Hey gang.
So went to my M1X theory class tonight, and while filling out all the paperwork it was noticed that when the MTO gave me my shiny M1 green paper license, they didn't actually update the 'class' section with M1, it just shows my G. Eff.
And here I thought I was good because at the top of the shiny green piece of paper, it says 'M1'. Suppose it's shame on me for not triple checking it after they spelled my address wrong - twice.
So I have tomorrow afternoon after work to get this corrected, or I can't ride in the course this weekend.

Anyone know if this is something that can be corrected at a Service Ontario centre, or do I have to go to a DriveTest center? I'll call in the AM to confirm, just thought I'd check and see if anyone else had to go through this hassle and might know.

EDIT - Should add that I do have the yellow paper copies of the actual test stamped "PASSED", but dude at RTI said it wouldn't fly, need the actual green paper. So at least I can prove I passed it at MTO / Service Ontario, right?

Thanks!

I'd say MTO's fault.

So definitely is. I'm just curious if I have to drive to the hell and far away DriveTest center to get them to fix it, or if I can go to the relatively close ServiceOntario office and have them correct it.
On a Friday afternoon, I'd really rather go with option B if it's available to me, y'know?

Don't take my word for it. But why would MTO issue you a new drivers license without a change. The test paper you got from the drive test should indicate a "pass". The rest is MTO.

They don't issue you a new plastic license when you write the m1, your G is separate from the m1.

If the green paper license says m1 and your plastic license says g then you are good to go.

As long as i understand it right, you have your normal driver's licence card with G on it, and the temporary licence also lists G as the class? That's a good screw up there... I believe you have to go to the DriveTest Centre. IIRC, they are the only ones that deal with any changes in licencing. Service Ontario is for transferring/plating vehicles, and getting your licence stickers.

Yup, just got off the phone after explaining several times, I have to go to drive test. A good screw up indeed! I'm sure they'll be thrilled to admit they screwed up...

Yeah, I was just going to say unfortunately, Service Ontario can only update things like your name and address and conditions like corrective lenses on your license. Anything to do with license level/class is Drive Test Centre. But you already called them any ways. Have fun at your course! I remember it as being a great weekend.

Hopefully they can get this fixed for you quickly. Nothing like arguing with them over their mistakes (you try convincing someone they screwed it up).

Success! Took a few rounds of explaining, but worked out with 'i need my m1 reprinted, there seems to be information missing'
Lady was even nice about it! Having the best Friday 13th so far!

I was definitely there last night! Although I'm not a guy. :)
I'm awful so can't remember names - does your friend have a cb550? Or did he just move back from California?
