Mountain Biking in Vegas?

Rode National and Pima-Dynamite in Phoenix. Similar terrain, it was March though. Hardpack, bumpy, with a layer of fine dust. Gonna be hot down there now. Interbike??

Nah..not in the biz anymore really. I'm going down in October for fun and thought I'd throw in some desert/slick-rock riding. Have no idea what's good down there. Might just get a guide and see what they have. It seems the Red Rock Canyon/Cottonwood Canyon areas are popular. Dunno if it's any good though. I don't mind the heat if it's dry. I'm a little worried about punctures and pinch flats..seems pretty rocky and cactus needles??

Pet the scorpions. They're friendly.

As friendly as the working girls on the strip???? :-D
