I'm going to post a link to a bunch of pictures from the May Motosocial, but first, I want an opinion. Some of the pictures clearly show a licence plate number. I know it's out there in public, and there's no law against posting those pictures, but should I blur them out as a courtesy to the owner?

Depends on how many you want to post. A few, then it would be courteous to block the plates.

You go anywhere in public these days and there are cameras all around filming your face, your vehicle, etc. The expectations toward privacy have been lowered.
You have some control over your exposure; use cash for purchases, wear a hijab, flip up your licence plate. I'm sure others will chime in. Otherwise, if you're out in public, you're fair game.

I had to edit a bunch first. I have 68 pictures I'd like to share, but the file sizes are quite big. Just working on a web friendly solution.
