Motorcyclist dead after collision on Hwy. 400 near Coldwater

A motorcyclist is dead following a collision on Highway 400 north of Barrie, Ontario Provincial Police say.
It happened near Coldwater late Saturday afternoon.
No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash.
No further details about the driver were immediately available.
Southbound lanes of Highway 400 have been shut down at Vasey Road as police investigate the collision.

I am not a rider but I registered in order to thank you for posting this.

The rider was my cousin. And his family is devastated. His mother (my aunt) will see him today for the first time since his death. She is in poor health and I don't know if she can handle it. His funeral is in Woodbridge on Thursday.

I will likely not post anything else unless anyone has any questions so I may just cancel my membership shortly.

I passed by moments after the accident happened. There were already about 8 people there and one was doing chest compressions.

The accident has devastated me, I cannot fathom what your family is going through right now. My sincerest condolences.

They say he likely died instantly. I hope that's true.
