Motorcycle Whimpering Noise....

So I've noticed my bike making this weird noise. I thought it was just cooling down but even the next day, after not riding it for at least 12 hours, it is still making the noise.

It's a Kawasaki 250, 2011.

It's the "dut...dut...dut..." noise that keeps happening. The background noise in the beginning is an airplane passing by. (guess I should have waited a little bit)

Pinched tank vent hose? Put your finger over the hoses under the bike one by one and see if the noise changes.And ignore the guys that tell you to feed your cat hairball remedy catfood.

Ive heard that noise from a few ninja 250's, especially when its hot out. I think its just the gas tank venting.

Open your gas cap when the noise is happening and you'll know if it is the tank venting. Every 08+ Ninja 250 I've ever seen (I owned one and worked on many others) makes funny noises from the gas cap vent.

Probably just the fuel tank venting, as everyone else has said. The bike will make this sound at certain times of the day whether you rode it or not, due to just normal fluctuations in temperature.

And ignore the guys that tell you to feed your cat hairball remedy catfood.

Had to think about that one for a minute, lol.

Sweet, I think it was the fuel tank. Will try it again when I hear the noise once more.
