Motocross rider injured after executing jump during North American International Motorcycle Supershow

Christian Martinez, a motocross rider participating in the North American International Motorcycle Supershow in Mississauga, was rushed to the hospital after executing a big jump during the show, a source tells CP24.

I’ve only seen a handful of this type of stunt riding at the show in previous years and was amazed no one was injured until now.

Slippery surface, small area, big jumps…

Hopefully the rider will be ok in the end.

It looks like they have stabilized it and are waiting for swelling to go down or for the surgeon to be available. I wish him all the best with recovery.

I wish Christian a speedy recovery. You risk alot in order to entertain us and I thank you. He crashed into a wall at the end of the jump I believe. There should have been some sort of a buffer set up there like an air wall or even hay bales to cushion his crash. This may have reduced the extent of his injuries.

My M-I-L broke her femur and recovery / rehab was long. She was obviously older and was able to do it without a motorcycle. Follow doctor's orders. Femur breaks are nasty.
