Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I need to buy a rear stand for a 2nd gen SV650 (also, do I need one specifically for my bike or are these universal?). Anyone know a place in or around KW that sells these? Sorry for the idiotic question but I don't really know where to get started with this stuff.

I got my set from kapscomoto on sale for cheap- universal, you will need the lifty things though that screw into your swing arm.

Another good place to check out for front and rear stands is royal distributing... Cheaper than Canadian tire.

Stands are universal for your bike (same as mine 2009)

Swing arm spools do help for the rear but you can also get a stand with flats to lift the swing arm.

I don't have the spools... do the places that sell the stand also sell spools, or where could I get a hold of them?

Thanks for the help btw, you guys are awesome :D.

They will sell spools as well. Royal has sets for 14 bucks for the pair. Just got them for my bike. In the sv650 2nd gen you need 8mm spools.

You don't really need spools either, you can buy a paddle type rear stand that lifts the bike from the bottom of the swingarm. I've been using this stand since last year and no issues.

I got stands that will fit a SV 50 bucks and they are yours. I don't have spools though :)

^Second this. Front and rear set for $70, either spool or paddle (get spools if your bike can take 'em). Hard to beat.

Thanks for that link! I purchased the front/rear paddle one for my CBR125.

No holes for spool sliders on my bike. Do you guys think this stand can fit with CBR125, Ninja250, and Ninja300?

Mostly likely upgrading to a Ninja next year, so it would nice to have a stand set that fits for Ninja as well.

You bought a universal set of stands. Will work for any bike. As you can see from the photos, the pieces that contact the bike are adjustable with an Allen key.

Should. The pads are adjustable on it.

You can get a set from yoshimura for $35....

Thank you, pilothaz, skip, and sid_for_speed for your answers!

I just got the stands today. Put them together. Tried both stands on my CBR125 2008. Works wonderfully!
