One man is in hospital in hospital after his motorcycle was split in half in a violent crash on Burlington Street near Ferguson Avenue North early today.
The motorcycle rider was rushed to Hamilton General Hospital following the 2:30 a.m. crash. He is believed to be in critical condition after being thrown some 20 meters in the collision.
The man was wearing a helmet.
Burlington Street is closed in the area as the Hamilton police collision reconstruction unit investigates.
It is no known which way the motorcycle was travelling before it went out of control, struck a utility pole and three cars in a row. The machine was broken in two pieces and also smashed the wrought iron railings on a set of concrete steps in front of one of the homes in the area. The Hamilton Spectator
