Motorcycle safety options

Totally wrong about car shops. Only a licensed MC tech can LEGALLY perform a MC cert.

310-G requirement.

Mixed info out there, but from what I was told by the MTO, as long as the shop holds the proper class license, the techs mechanic licence doesn't ultimately matter, so a 310-T could write a motorcycle certification if they wanted.

If the shop holds a Type 2 MVIS (as most regular auto replaces places would hold) they can inspect cars AND motorcycles. But a motorcycle specific shop that only holds a Type 4 cannot inspect cars. I was told this is what mattered more than the techs licence itself.

Thanks for the replies everyone. There's a CT about 5 minutes from my house and after seeing the comments about car shops can do safety I decided to call and ask... it's either or no right? Lady said they do motorcycle safety and most of the locations does. She mentioned they "prefer" appointments but accepts walk-ins.

Ah, ya for safties! When you buy a bike, you go see ted and get a safety, then go to service ont! Thats how its done.
I would love to see how many people drag a bike to ted in January! :ROFLMAO:
