Just reading through the posts with many asking for directions to various roads in the US. I use the website www.motorcycleroads.us when planning my trips. I look for mainly twisty roads and generally end up in West Virginia. The beauty of the site is that it lists routes according to design, i.e. scenic, twisty and sweeping curves. I generally pick a route the night before, figure where it will take me, find the nearest city and book the hotel room for the next night. You can pick any State and click on it to search your roads. I use it as my bible.

It is a great site, and I love WV roads as well.

I like to use Google in Terrain layer, and follow rivers, mountains, while hitting the highlights of the area for roads, and it's my goto for us roads.

What do you use for Canadian roads?

For Canadian Roads - the 401 and QEW to get to the US. I find no joy riding in this province/country as I prefer an elevated pace that would land me in jail in this country.

And that's another good reason why I ride a dual sport. I did a gravel road today on the way home fast enough to get a rush without worrying about police. Just crows and wild turkeys.
