Motorcycle apparels Shops

Hi to all... Finally bought my first bike... Can anybody recommend some shops with a lot of motorcycle gears(jackets, helmets, pants)? I have ordered a couple of helmets and jackets online and i was dissapointed with the fitment. I like to personally fit the gears before buying... GP bikes seems to have a big physical store(based on pictures), but its kinda far from my place. Any recommendations on shops that are located around 30 minutes from pearson airport? Thanks in advance

Your two biggest retailers are GP Bikes and Royal Distributing for trying gear on...both have online stores as well, but like you said, trying things on is best..neither one is within 30 minutes of you though...

Nice little store

As mentioned, GP Bikes and Royal Distributing in Whitby are absolute go-to's.

But beforehand, go to Re-Gear in Oshawa just a few minutes further east - they deal in closeouts and end of line gear and you're apt to find some steals - bought a brand new $400 Oxford jacket there today for only $190. Tons of helmets and jackets of all sorts in stock....boots, etc etc.

They'll be happy to equip you top to bottom there for probably 25-40% less than retail. And if you don't get everything you need/want or what they have in stock isn't what catches your eye, hit up GP and Royal on the way home.

They have pretty limited hours though so make sure you check their website/FB page beforehand however to ensure they're open.

It's probably a little bit further than your 30 minutes from Pearson desire, but trust me, the combination of those 3 shops is worth the drive.

They are only open Thursdays and Fridays 11-6 and Saturdays 11-4. The guy is old and doesn't like to work too much. lol

Deal with Matt, who is a good guy. I'm not sure why John doesn't retire and leave the shop to him.

Just for because it gives him income . I will never go there . Yet I live right around the corner .

I've been once. Didn't like the setup. Was a mess. Albeit it was after the Feb MC show so maybe they were bringing the stuff back.

I found the old guy was ok and helped me out. Whereas the other (younger) guys didn't get up to bother.

Nonetheless I wouldn't go back.

I've got this IS-MAXII in large I've been thinking of selling ... realized after switching helmets with a buddy that I'm a medium. About 5 years old but like new as I mostly used an open face when I had my cruisers and then bought the medium IS-MAXII. Have no idea at the moment on a sell price to be honest.

Perhaps he just likes to ride more than sitting in a store with limited traffic the other 4 days of the week. ;)

But yeah, pretty limited hours, but for a brand new rider looking to start out needing all the gear and not particularly caring if he's buying last years style and models versus the new hotness at the regular stores, the visit can easily save hundreds of dollars.
