Hey guys,

Taking a road trip to Texas this April to see the MotoGP race down there! Unfortunately taking the car, cause the others don't ride :(

Just starting the planning stages of it now - anyone got any must see's in Austin, Nashville, or anywhere along the way?
 
That's funny. While there check out the back window.
 
I've done the drive from Dallas to Toronto and I cannot remember anything on the route that I would want to stop in at. I'd have to take significant detours ...

having said that, my bro and I did the drive in about 20 or 22 hours or so ... so it can be done easily rotating drivers. We did it with no joy, just coming back from Univ.
 
That's an extremely boring drive IMO.

But, while you're in Austin you should go downtown and just walk around and hit the food trucks.

Also go to The Salt Lick and the Grist Mill restaurants. Super awesome.

If you have time go to San Antonio and check out the boardwalk along the river.
 
If it were me, I'd be stopping in Chicago, Memphis, and New Orleans on the way and make it a blues trip.
