Motards wheels legal?

Hey I was just wondering if super motard wheels were legal to swap into a dual sport bike in Ontario (specifically Hamilton/GTA)

It would be nice for me to have my dual sport safely lowered without changing geometry of my suspension.(30 inch inseam)
Also if it was legal and I did it, would it count as a modification to my bike and I would have to let my insurer know (which might raise my rate abit)

Sorry for nooby question I've only ridden dirt in my 15 years of existence.

Sure why not. As long as the rubber is DOT approved, and the bike is blue plated, you're good to go. Be mindful of your speedometer accuracy since you're changing much of the stock configuration.
