I missed my court date today! I thought it was tomorrow! What can i do? Can i reschedule?

Thanks

You already got convicted bra. Turn yourself in before the D.O.G. be breaking down your door.

After some research, it seems that they will issue a bench warrant arrest. Is this true? I also read that you can go to the court house and explain what happened and they will reschedule?

Thanks

P.S Planning on calling/going there first in the morning tomorrow to get things cleared but just want additional information.

So i just found out something... On the ticket itself, it's the CORRECT drivers license NUMBER. But on the "Notice of Trial" form, it has the INCORRECT drivers license number at the top. One number is different.

Is this a reason to get the ticket thrown out?

Thanks

Edit: Seems like the notice of trial errors don't count.

Maybe i shouldn't of posted asking for help... Was expecting serious answers...

P.S This is just for a speeding ticket... not a murder case...

If it was just a speeding tick you convicted of the offence on the ticket and be sent a notice. You can appeal it but only if you have a valid reason for missing the date. No jail and no warrant

thats just for criminal matters mainly and the odd other thing, not for HTA offences court.

Update: They said that i would need to go back to the court house in about 4 days for the system to update, tell them that i missed it and want to reschedule. Court of justice will review it and he/she will review it.

You can't get something thrown out because they spelled your name wrong or made a typo. It isn't enough to toss it... Why? Because you showed up telling them to correct it. Judge/J.O.P. has the authority to amend tickets to make such corrections while sitting on the bench.

This.

I believe it can be thrown out for the wrong name being there, even if it was a typo, was in court last year, guy stood up and showed his license and the spelling of his name, compared to the evidence the prosecution had, it did not match, it was off by one letter, the case was dismissed by the judge, it was not possible to say the person before them was the same person they had on their papers, the guy thanked the court and walked out...
