Misjudgement = Crash

That thing handles like a Ford :D

i don't have to point out the repostiness of this, but i still love the guy commenting "dude, they're gonna beat our a$$es!", or the lady saying "omg, why would they do that?"...

Upload date of 2007 should have tipped you off to this being a big time repost!, i don't have to point out the repostiness of this, but i still love the guy commenting "dude, they're gonna beat our a$$es!", or the lady saying "omg, why would they do that?"...

Well, some new people to the site this year might not have seen it / people looking to get bikes for next season - it's a good lesson for them to see what NOT to do :D. "They're going to beat our a$$es" lolololololololollololol

harley's should never be allowed to pass.

Hahah. I can understand if your by yourself and want to get ahead, but they had a huge group.

She clearly has different memories of what they did to her posterior....

strakka, i'm still trying to figure that comment out...
To further the unsaid conversation:

Guy: "Because they're bikers! And one of them just fell down a cliff!"
Lady: "That's not what they did to me in the minivan last night...."

(Of course, this only makes sense if you assume they're having a conversation, rather than making individual remarks about the bike falling off the edge.)

Repost but I never considered why the second biker followed the first one into the ditch. I can only assume the first biker had just switched from dirt bikes to cruisers.

Target fixation and lack of understanding of push steering!

Target fixation. Note that the first bike was barely even leaned over as it went over the edge. Making a pass at that location was poor judgment in the first place. There's no visibility around that corner.

I doubt if either of these riders have any appreciable worthwhile riding experience, dirt bike or otherwise.

Deals Gap is not the place to learn how to ride, nor is it a good place to be with any vehicle that doesn't have good handling characteristics. In the last few years, it seems to have become a popular destination for the Harley crowd. Some of them - very small percentage - can ride. Others ... are from Florida. Very popular place to either run out of talent, or cornering clearance. Trikes crash a lot there, too ... poor handling characteristics. Yeah, you can compensate by going gawd-awful slow ... which a lot of them do.

On our trips down there, we only go off-season, and we normally either do this road during the week, or very early or very late in the day. Too much traffic otherwise.
