Is Anyone planning on going to the Mid Summers dream ride? http://www.oftr.ca/events.php?id=12368
I've never gone on an organized ride. Has anyone here gone before? I think it's their 9th year.
I'm hoping to go and possibly meet up with anyone else that is going from these forums.
I'll be riding from home (East York) all the way there.
Anyone wanna go with?

I'll be there if I'm not working. I'm there most weekends anyway.

I've come across some of the arrowed sections in the forest and there's some nice trail laid out. Looks like it's going to be a good ride.

Sweet, maybe I'll see you there! What are you riding?

Anyone going from Toronto/East York?

Does anyone know how long it takes to register at the start point the morning of the ride? What is the advantage of registering early (online)?

So no advantage to signing up ahead of time?
I think it used to be cheaper plus not so much of a wait at sighn in,I went one year and there were over 200 people. You also need to do a sound test and pass to ride, get there a little early or its hard to find a good parking spot.

Think my bike will pass?

I cant do much to it, it's already got a silencer and spark arrestor. It needs repacking, but I know if I pack it wrong it'll only make it louder.

If you are running a Q core you should pass,if its just an aftermarket with a screen you wont.OFTR will try to help you to quiet your bike down, they usually have some inserts. But if you are still like 98+ you will get sent home.

I'm pumped! Trouble is I know for sure that I will be leaving at the end of the day wanting a more MX/trail bike as opposed to my KLR, but not necessarily a bad thing tbh! lol Bring it!!!

Wear your rain gear its going to be a wet one. They may have to change the name to Mid Summer Wet Dream. Either way it will be a fun time had by all. Bring a full change of clothes.

I arrived just in time to help out a young kid who dumped and watered out in a puddle back to sandaraska. I'm pretty sure the next time dad wants to take a picture of his son riding through a puddle he will choose a puddle not quite so deep lol The weather was perfect it was a geat day.
