So who's up for 2 days at Mid-O? The track layout guarantees a HUGE grin factor and is arguably in the same league, if not better IMHO, than Calabogie.
The track throws just about everything at you:
This track is a fast flowing track with a rhythm that is easy to get used to. The AMA guys run there and they put down lap times that put all us track day junkies to shame! Last time I was there PJ Jacobsen was testing some Celtic bikes after the track day and man he was carrying so much speed that he was starting the turn in for Turn 1 about half way through the front straight!
All in all, I guess what I'm trying to say is this track is FUN!!
I waited until the last minute as the track sucks when wet but July 6&7 is looking good to be around 30 degrees and dry. if you're available, I have a spot in the trailer and we split the gas costs.
These track days are the only days where at least one day is being run on the week-end. Also they are being run from 3:30 to 9pm.
The plan is to drive there early on Friday morning and stay Friday and Saturday night (Sat night is negotiable if we want to drive back).
PM me if there's interest but I'm going either way.
The track throws just about everything at you:
- 270 degree off camber carousels,
- high speed sweepers,
- slower technical turns that if you hit right, you can blow past other riders,
- a never ending back straight that is about the same length as Mosport. It freaks you out as they say at the end of every straight is a corner...
