Metzlers seem to be made in China now. The older ones were German but the ones we put on a friends bike last year were Chinese and of a much lower quality than the older ones.

My bike came with metzelers. Wasn't a fan.

I think pirelli gutted the company after they bought them out. Back in the day the metzelers were great tires.
