It's about a 30ft drop to the bottom of the backyard. You can see the remainder of the tree to my right in the second pic. It's still about 20ft high.It looks like whoever cut it down tried to seal the ends -- probably had plans to slice it into slabs. You could probably find someone local with a portable mill to cut the stuff up and take it away. If you live in an area with Amish, they might come get it too.
