I don't think blood type meant to be "medical information". It is more for things like allergic to certain medication. I am allergic to various common drugs and the test will take several days. I dont think in an emergency they will be able to confirm my condition nor they can test for potentially hundreds of different medical conditions in that category.

I trust that Paramedics are well able to do their job without ANY medical information being available.
I don't think a patients survival ever depends on whether or not they can determine blood type or allergies "on scene"...

I have opportunity to witness the paramedics that serve in my AO and I find it amazing the skill set they have and the things they can do.
Everything from dealing with simple injuries and illnesses to major medical crisis and trauma. Hell, I've seen them bring people back after it looked like they where dead.
Not once did any of these Para's ask me... "What's their blood type?"
