Hey everyone,

As you may be aware, the May 19 to 21 is a long weekend and I want to visit a friend near Ottawa.. Clearly I want to ride and take my time to get there, 1 day rest , and 1 day back ...

Leaving TO Sat morning...

Any suggestions on possible routes or roads to visit?? Im hoping to avoid highway?

Update ---

Well my friend is going to be working all weekend so I have more time to ride now.

Go North near Lindsay, head east through Bobcaygeon, Peterborough County Rd. 36 to Buckhorn Rd. 507.

East on 503 through Tory Hill, 648 Loop Rd. to Elephant Lake Rd. North toward Maynooth. South on 62 to Bancroft.

East on 28 To Denbeigh. 41 North to 71 east which turns into 65 and 508 which twists and turns to Calabogie.
Calabogie Rd. (hwy508 to Trans Canada Hwy. 17.)
From there it's an easy straight ride to Ottawa.

I was planning to run via 507, and with this now I will for sure, thank you.

Looks like so:

looks right to me. Only thing I might add is to turn left on 503, and then right onto Glamorgan Rd. #3, Right on 118 to Tory Hill. A bit more twisty going that way. Going right on the 503 is pretty uneventful.

Should be a nice ride.

yeah but that would probably add about and 1 or 2 hour to a 7hour trip.. my A__ can only handle so much... but I did think of that.. depends on my arrival time to 503 I guess

Edit: checked on G and it makes it 8 hours 15 minutes..

OMG!!! 65 and 508 are so damn amazing!! I wish I lived closer ... The intro from it on 71 was a bit iffy but wow was it worth it.

on a second note the gap from Brancroft on 28 is not so nice :( lots of construction!
