Marineland: for holy smokes, update your commercials!

Sorry for the rant.

But, why, oh why, does Marineland continue to use their tv commercials from sooooooo long ago? I mean, I remember seeing those commercials when I was a kid--like 15 or so years ago!

Is that Marineland's new target market? Adults in their 30s, who want to reminisce about the good old days? :rolleyes:
 
The commercials still make the Sky Screamer sound like a new thing, when it was built 7 years ago.

You'd think they'd at least come out with advertising that targets their growing image problem...
 
This belongs in the annoyances thread. It's been up for days. Get with the times.
 
Better yet, just shut that hellhole down and put those poor animals out of their misery.
 
Do they still have the bears? The one and only time was there was about 25 years ago.My little boy cried when he saw the poor bears begging for treats.
 
Wasn't there a scandal last year regarding marine land and abuse of their animals???

What happened to that?
 
The girl that sang the MarineLand jingle actually sued (or tried to - cant remember) them cause they didn't want to take her voice off the commercial cause it was so annoying

I went to marine land about 5 years ago for a company family day. My god what a ***** hole it is now. I have old yellowing photos of me as a kid feeding a cute little deer so that's the image I went in with. That exact same spot in the photo is now sparsely populated with sickly looking goats that have nutsac-shaped growths hanging off their necks and faces. Disgusting. The bears were still there but they looked a bit sickly themselves. About the only enjoyable aspect was the aquarium and watching the whales under water. I agree, they should shut that place down and replace it with an Action Park.

They should replace it with zombieland. That will live on forever.

Tourists feed deer, bears eat deer.... bears die from malnourished/unhealthy deer.
