They've started ripping up Lakeshore, specifically around exhibition all the way west past High Park. Because of this, there are a million metal manhole covers and other metal shapes sticking a few inches up above the road. They're mostly outlined in orange, but if you're in heavy traffic (and you always are because of the construction) they can be hard to notice. I saw them on the way to work yesterday and thought they looked like an accident waiting to happen. By the time I left for home I had already forgotten and got a surprise by one that was only a couple inches in diameter. If you're not expecting them, they can scare the **** out of you and throw you off to either side a bit.
