Maintenance Shopping - Shopping list

Hi guys,

just got my first bike, an 02 F4i and I think I should do some basic maintenance this weekend before I really get on her. Here is my list so far, please let me know if there is more I need or if I should adjust my list:

Chain Cleaner - What kind?
Chain Lube - What kind?
Chain Brush
Engine Oil - Honda or Amsoil? 10w40?
Oil Filter - OEM
 
check tire pressure, change oil & filter, check battery voltage/charging system, brake pad thickness/fluid level, check all fastners for tightness, coolant level, and chain adjustment. dont bother cleaning the chain, you could get water in behind the o rings,or what ever you use. cleaning the chain is over rated, just lube it often, it will last a lot longer with out having to adjust

Chain Lube - dupont teflon lube
Chain Brush - old tooth brush and a rag
Engine Oil - Rotella
Oil Filter - OEM or HiFlo

Make sure you check your tire pressures as well.

Chain Brush - old toothbrush, rags, and newspaper underneath
Engine Oil - motul 5100 semi-syn, whatever weight your manual asks for
Oil Filter - k&n

This is what I use on my bike
HiFlo oil filter is usually a few bucks cheaper then OEM and just as good.
 
and coolant, oil filter, check air filter, check chain slack.If your adventurous check valves
