M2exit and insurance

Hi,

I don't have insurance for this year due to needing money for summer education, however I feel with some free time I would like to squeeze in completing my m2exit. Is it possible to get a temporary insurance to cover for my exam either through mto or taking a course? Do they check insurance prior to taking the exam? Also what else is needed for taking the exam? I know you need your bike, gears, proof of license but anything else?

Thanks

Or you could borrow your friend's bike for a day?

You don't need anything except a helmet gear wise actually lol

M2 Exit, will look pretty stupid running down the road and onto highway, you will need a motorcycle.

I meant required gear =P

I believe you have 10 days within which you can cancel any new insurance policy.
Otherwise, assuming you have your car with them, they will be fine with canceling your policy (like when I went away for work for 2 months).

If you're going to do the 10 days or less thing and need an excuse, just say you're going to ride your bike up to a potential buyer/friend for sale/storage but want to make the trip up on your bike and enjoy it for a bit. Don't say you're definately canceling, but that you just want to know what you're getting into and how much time you have to decide if you want to keep riding for the remainder of the season.

Hahahaha

In general, insurance companies don't write temporary insurance as new policies. If you start a new policy, you can however, cancel any time. Bear in mind that motorcycle insurance is rated seasonally so cancelling in the middle of the riding season may mean that you'll still owe a bit after the cancellation if your policy was set on a partial payment schedule.

I think your best bets would be to borrow a friends bike or rent a bike.
