hey guys,
i just my M2 this summer after taking the Humber course.
The actual issue date of my new license with M2 is June 1st 2012.
I know i can get my Fill M after 18 months, which we be around Dec 1 2013.
My question is can i actually take the course before December and then submit the paperwork after Dec 1st?
where i am going with this is basically try to take the course in September or October (while weather is ok and courses are still available). i dont know if this would make a difference but this way i would have my Full M before my Insurance would renew in the spring, although now that i am looking at my insurance, it does not expire until June, so i probably would have time in the spring to do it.
anyway i would just like to get it sooner rather than later, and i will make the assumption they dont do the M2 exit course in December :)

Check with your insurance company. I know with mine, it didn't make a difference whether I had an M2 or an M. They just wanted to know my record and number of years insured with a motorcycle.

I admire you not wanting to wait 5 years to get your M, but wouldn't hurt to wait until the spring and get it then. Won't make much of a difference either way.

Edit: forgot to add, the M2 Exit (to get the full M) roadtest, is really straight forward and anyone that's been riding for at least a full season, should be able to pass it without having to take a course. Something to consider as well.
 
thanks man, maybe i will wait till spring so its not so rushed, and i f i can save a few bucks not taking the course, that money can go toward one of the Track Courses like Racer5 or something.

I had asked about that and the answer was no u can't do ahead of time and hand it in later on.
No they don't do it in Dec. They do it until end of Oct or sometime in Nov.

Many insurance companies don't really care whether you have an M2 or M but its best to call and ask.

As for the M2Exit test, there aren't any available from the ministry until May 2013. (I tried to book and that was the answer I got for Aurora at least).
