You mean other than having your licence suspended for a month, bike impounded, and insurance companies not touching you with a 10' pole afterwards?
Not much.
Why not just wait the 60 days... In reality its not that long of a time vs the consequences.
its a perfectly reasonable question. I didn't know the specific penallties for riding on the "highway"
M1
4. The motorcycle may not be driven on a highway with a speed limit in excess of 80 kilometres per hour other than those parts of the King’s Highway known as Nos. 11, 17, 61, 69, 71, 101, 102, 144 and 655. O.
If the OP is referring to 100km/h max highways ..and I suspect he is ... wouldn't the penalties would be the same as driving a car or riding a bike on any road WITHOUT a licence because he is not LICENCED to do so. There must be a hefty fine too.
but off the record.. almost every rider i know took the risk ...just for the rush.
In not condoning it..but you don't have a big M1 sign FLASHING on your back and if you are not speeding or driving poorly your not likely to be pulled over.
For gods sake get some kms under your belt before you do but its not like your going to be a lot safer on day 2 of your M2 than day 44 of your M1.
ride safe

If your plate is under your own name, then it's pretty easy to see the license attached. Cop doesn't even need to get out of the car.
Don't some places have an automated system that scans plates and indicates which should be pulled over?
