Lowsided near Tobermory

I now belong the the motorcyclists that had a crash.

Lowsided in turn on Forty Hills Rd coming from Caudle Side Rd going to Bruce Road 9.
I got distracted with the gravel/sand scattered on the road and hesitated. Front wheel wobbled and next thing I know I'm on the grass ditch.

Good thing I'm already slow before the turn so no damage except my pride :(
Bike turn mirrors were scratched and the saddle bag mount was torn.

Got some minor bumps on elbow and knees and boots saved my ankle. My first crash, and thankfully was able to walk away unharmed.

Glad you're alright! Remember that every ride is a learning experience, especially the ones where you go down.

I'm actually heading there isoon and I was curious whether you remember if this was a gravel or paved road?

Oops sorry, I did not pass by the road you pointed on google maps.

From 6 I turned to Caudle Side road. All the road from Caudle Side to 9 is paved.

Mix of blacktop and gravel/hard packed dirt towards Dyers Bay, gravel towards Lions Head. As someone that lies in Dyers Bay, if your not afraid of gravel, follow Dyers Bay Road all the way to the end and the lighthouse. Its a scenic section.

Glad you're ok, after experiencing few crashes, its just get up "and brush off your shoulder" lol
..just stay away from crazy **** like 100kmh + plus crashes or a car.

Glad you're ok.. In these situations, it's easy to panic and grab a fistful of front.. Easy on the rear does it (personal experience).. I hope the bumps and bruises aren't coming to haunt you now
