Lost my disk lock on the road

So I was riding east on King in Bolton towards the 400 and I heard a big thud...like a rock smacked my bike. Thought something fell off and had a look. Didnt notice anything wrong so I continued on. Once I got home I went to get my disc lock out of the trunk and it was gone! Turns out the fender popped down and the lock slipped out. kinda sucks but I'm not even mad lol it's just very odd. SO, if anyone finds a Xena disc lock sitting on the road, let me know! Thanks!

Hmmmm lucky it was only your lock. My wallet is usually there lol

Go back and get it.

Speaking of dropping things, I lost my GPS tonight. I accidentally knocked it off as I started to slow for a red light, and actually saw it sliding up the road ahead of me, initial speed around 60 kmph, to end up under the car in front of me at the light! I retrieved it after the light turned green and the car drove off. Fortunately the GPS wasn't in the path of the car's tires.

In any case, for those of you worry about whether car GPS units can handle vibration on a motorcycle, this one handled the vibration and the drop and the slide, and came out working good as new. I haven't looked close at it, but it doesn't even seem to be scratched.

$89 Garmin 255W works just like a Timex, takes a licking and keeps on ticking! That said, I think I'll be more diligent about hooking up the tether to it in future. ;-)

I never kno wat to do with my Xena. If I don't take my bag with me, I will keep it in my jacket pocket, which is a stupid idea but I have no enclosed space on bike. I lost my license plate on the highway yesterday. Will be using loctite and plastic ties this time around.

Same thing happened to me LOL ...i heard the thud around queens quay/yonge area, didnt notice anything wrong and continued to ride. got home and its not there. i went back to look for it, but couldnt fint it. oh well hehe

I would hate to be the people driving/riding behind you...

Haha, probably looked like mario cart.. throwing tools and disc locks out the back of my bike. There wasn't anyone riding behind me thankfully

Drop the key somewhere else and make a quest out of it...

we all lose something at times. Few years ago in traffic I had an itchy nose, flipped up the visor to scratch my nose and I knocked the tinted magnetic clip off my glasses on the QEW. Now I have transitions

Twoth,

I had a look on my way in today and back. Didn't see anything but I'll look again tomorrow and concentrate on King closer to the 400.
