Lookin for front michelin tire for TD - preferably 2ct or pure

Want to take my old street bike out to the track this weekend, have a good couple year old 2ct rear i'd like to destroy but the front is no good. If anyone has something suitable let me know, i'm in brantford but willing to do a reasonable drive to get it. I run slow expert pace on race tires so nothing super sketchy or horribly flat spotted please, i'll probably just be taking it easy at the fast end of intermediate group.

Otherwise if anyone knows of a shop that wants to clear out a 2ct front for a descent price, i might just buy a new one and sell the set as good street tires. TMP should make short work of the small flat spot on the rear.

Will also consider Q2 or s20 front if in good shape. Let me know!

I have a front dragon supercorsa 120/70-17 $30

and one Dunlop sportmax GP 120/70-17 $30

both scrubs but still decent

I've got a michelin Power One front and a bunch of others you can have for free.

you'll have to pick them up

I have an almost new 2CT front (and rear 190/50) you can have for free. It has about 2000km's on it. You can pick it up from Heritage Auto, he could also install it for ya while you waited if you want too.

*gasp* thats awesome dude. I'm seeing there's a heritage auto in toronto and burlington so i'm guessing it's the one in toronto? I might see if anyone else going to TMP this weekend could pick it up and bring it for me.

I'm going to TMP on Sat and Sun and can bring the tires (I'll be at Heritage at 3pm tomorrow) :) And yep, it's the one in Toronto (Keele and Ingram).

I am constantly amazed by the generosity of people in the motorcycling community. Can you pm me your cell number so its easy to get a hold of you at the track? I dont think i can use the 190 2ct on my 5.5" rim but im sure if you hang a free sign on it you wouldn't have a tough time finding a home for it. See you soon!

I used to run a 190/50 on my 5.5" rim on my 08 R6. Other than a slower transition/turn in, worked great :)

I've never run a 190/55 before, so it'll be interesting on the weekend :)

My cell number (texts only) is 289-600-9937, let me know when you get there/when you know when you're getting there :)

I need to call tomorrow but if monday looks open i'll be there early afternoon on sunday. If it's booked i'll be there sat evening to ride sunday. Just planning on riding one day.

This is all assuming i get the fueling/high idle problem sorted on the bike that i just ran into, it's been sitting all summer. I'll be in touch.

Cheers.

Again, inaccurate and possibly dangerous information.

that tire on the 5.5in rim is NOT correct and should not be done!

Very true. Remember reading a lot of people doing this on kawiforums and the manufacturer says the tire does not fit, you're pinching the tire. Not advised and definitely not going to make the bike handle better. If you want a steeper profile step up to the 003-rs or a DOT race tire.

I think it's the dunlop gpa (dont quote me on that) is the only tire that is a 190 and says fits a 5.5" rim, this would be the exception.

Apparently i'm looking for a good front again because jamie forgot to bring the one he offered me. If anyone lives within a half hour or brantford or is going to tmp this weekend and has a good front scrub let me know.

(trying to get a hold of reciprocity, if anyone wanted to text him and let him know that friendlyfoe would be suuuper grateful if he checked his pm's, assuming he's even home this weekend as most people aren't, thatd be swell)
