Do you like it? I did this with a $129 run-of-the-mill GPS unit, just took it from my car and popped it into my handlebars, it never flickers from vibrations or falls off or blinks and works flawlessly. No need to go buy a "special" bike GPS for $600, that's retarded.

Looks good, and glad it works for you.. but I wouldn't say those who use a bike specific unit are retarded.. there is something to be said for waterproof and glove friendly..

Agreed, I have the nuvi 550, it's water proof (there's a vid of a guy dunking it in a fish tank), can poke at it with my gloves and it runs about $220. Holds up to vibrations with no issues. More or less it's the exact same as the $500-600 zumo series with just a few less bells and whistles I don't need.

I dont care about waterproof because I dont ride in rain or if theres rain in the forecast, I also do not ride with gloves and even if I did ride with gloves I would input the data on the GPS before I left my driveway, or I can pull over and re-enter data on the road.

You bought a TomTom? Even an SueSue is better...

Yeah right, that's why TomTom was voted hands down the best GPS unit after Navigon?

Yeah right... Who voted? Retards?

I've been using GPS since 2001 and have had both TomTom and garmin ones.
TomTom was the worst overall. Garmin is not perfect, but I always found issues with the Tom Tom ones.

Good luck to using your gps without gloves and on dry days, I'll use mine with gloves and rain and shine ;)

pffft, fancy mounts and modern GPS systems.

This is what happens when you have 6 hours of prep/sleep time before a bike rally:

Nothing wrong with it if it works for you...Only thing I'd be worried about is the mount not holding up to vibrations & letting go on the road.

I definitely could have used any sort of mounted GPS this weekend though. Got lost a couple of times on back roads heading up north. Had to pull over to check the GPS on my phone which was a bit of a pain.

BTW, is that SNOW on the ground in the picture?
