Friends still suffering with little relief and more and more info coming out. Some of the stories are heartbreaking.
This is very similar to my friends partner in Montreal...3 years on and still suffering

This one is just plain sad...talk about life interrupted

Good info here

Long covid is still my biggest concern IF I get it...and a concern that I have had it in Canada at the recovery center despite a negative test. There was a case two doors down the hall so .....
Don't know that there is a publicly accessible way of my knowing if I have the antibodies.

You had it but tested negative? Huh.

How many retests?

If the lungs are heavy in scar tissue can they recover? Can they look insider. CT scan? MRI?

A friend smoked his to leather sacks and there was no cure. He couldn't walk more than 50 feet, on oxygen, without gasping for breath. RIP.

What I know lungs do not get better just worse most of the males on my father's side including my father have died from pulmonary fibrosis which is scarring of the lungs.

Sent from the future

I SUSPECT I had it ...no certainty at all. No additional tests - the recovery centre didn't think it was necessary and I was never sure...all I have are some suspicious symptoms at the time and now. Could have other explanations.
It's really terra incognito for the medical community and me.

That's what took my father, horrible way to go.

First time I heard it in a while…friend I work with has COVID.

Can’t remember the last time someone mentioned it even.

How quickly we move on.

My situation was a lengthy but mild case. Well. Knock on wood but I think I'm over it "good enough". Rode 2 days at a race weekend at Grand Bend (and Saturday was hot - drank 5+ litres of water and juice), drove 4 hours, did 2 track days at Grattan, drove 6 hours home with a snooze overnight in the middle of it, and here we are, and I'm still functioning. That'll do.

As much as people may wish to forget the pandemic emergency, the virus is still with us and kills about 20 people a week in Canada
I'm finally going to get an answer if I ever had covid.
Neither partner or I have ever tested positive for it and we were pretty diligent about avoiding it despite near misses and those near us getting it....even several times.
I just want to know so I can eliminate from a cause of on going symptoms. 🍿
