Buy a cheap electric one you won't regret it, they are pretty darn good, might even be cheaper then renting.

Battlefield Rentals has them...no prices on their website though so you'll have to call them on Monday...they have a Waterloo location...

If rental costs more then 250$ you are better off buying the cheap one.

Anyone played with a kinetic splitter? I have only used hydraulic which gets the job done albeit slowly. Kinetic seems much more entertaining even if it cant split every terrible crochety log.

Yup. He graduated, doesn’t do it any more.

I bought one from PA for my bro (who is a mechanical dummy) for $250. It’s been a champ for 2 years, probably split 100 trees so far.
